Drettmann Yachts with strong presence in Cannes 2023

Bremen-based yacht specialist puts on two very interesting yachts at the Cannes Yachting Festival: a Bandido 90 and a Majesty 100.

When the Cannes Yachting Festival takes place on the Côte d'Azur from 12 to 17 September, it is regarded as the - unofficial - opening of the autumn trade fair season on the Mediterranean. The festival is one of the most important events worldwide for shipyards and brokers who sell and produce boats and yachts between 15 and 35 metres in length. Around 700 exhibits and 600 exhibitors are expected in the two ports on the Croisette, the Vieux Port and the Port Canto. Based on the last editions, the sailing and pre-owned yachts will dock in the Port Canto and the motor yachts in the time-honoured Vieux Port. All the well-known brands have registered; numerous world premieres have been announced for the estimated 55,000 visitors.

Drettmann Yachts from Bremen will of course also be there and will be putting two very interesting formats into the Port Canto. One is the Majesty 100 "Nixtun", the other an explorer of the type Bandido 90. Both formats were developed and built under the direction of Drettmann Yachts and are now looking for a new owner. "The condition of both yachts is excellent," says Albert Drettmann. "If you are looking for a compact explorer, the Bandido 90 is the right choice. Those who need a veritable and very new Mediterranean yacht with excellent interior should look at 'Nixtun'."

The nearly 32-metre-long Majesty 100 "Nixtun" has a displacement of around 130 tonnes with a beam of 7.10 metres. The special features of the yacht, which was delivered by Gulf Craft only this year, include folding balconies on both sides of the cockpit as well as floor-to-ceiling glazing in the salon on the main deck and the sky lounge on the upper deck.

With two MAN engines, each producing 1 900 hp, the yacht can reach a maximum speed of over 20 knots, making it fast on transfers. At a reduced speed of twelve knots, she has a respectable range of 1 500 nautical miles, which is more than enough for Mediterranean cruising. Her fuel tanks hold a total of 15 700 litres of diesel. By the way, "Nixtun" is the first Majesty 100 with MAN 1900 engines, soot particle filters and AdBlue injection. A draught of only 1.67 metres allows the vessel to sail in shallow waters.

Together with the German owners, Claudia Drettmann designed the entire interior to suit the clients' contemporary tastes. Limed oak and walnut were chosen for the woods - in combination with carpets and ceilings in warm colours, the salon, for example, looks very bright and yet cosy. The cabins of the extremely modern yacht have a similar look to give the interior a uniform style.

The owner couple sleeps in a veritable suite with office on the main deck, the guests in four cabins on the lower deck.

Also under the direction of Drettmann Yachts is the Bandido 90, which the Bremen-based company entered for the Cannes Yachting Festival. The compact explorer was built in 2007 and features a 4-cabin layout, making it perfect for accommodating larger families or even charter groups. In 2022, the yacht underwent an extensive refit, with the hull completely painted in a refreshing light grey. The interior boasts a spacious and comfortable feel, flooded with natural light. The cabins are all elegantly appointed with high quality materials and finishes, offering guests a comfortable retreat.

On the upper deck, the Bandido 90 has a large sun deck with comfortable loungers. This is also the favourite dining area on board - the ideal place to dine with friends and family while enjoying the sea breeze. Among other features, the Bandido 90 is equipped with a highly conductive air conditioning system, a high-quality sound system and a perfectly equipped galley.
