It is an absolute success story: of the 1500 new yachts built under the direction of Drettmann Yachts, a large proportion belong to the various Elegance series. Especially in the 1990s and 2000s, many owners were enthusiastic about an Elegance yacht between 60 and 90 feet in length and thus made a thoroughly successful investment - on the brokerage market, the models have been in good demand for years. In the past few weeks, the Drettmann Yachts team sold seven Elegance yachts between 60 and 82 feet in length.
Albert Drettmann, the initiator of the Elegance brand together with his wife Claudia, always remembers the Elegance development fondly: "With Horizon we had a very reliable shipyard partner who manufactured according to our designs in Taiwan. On site at our Bremen headquarters, we were able to advise customers on design and equipment. We struck a chord with a lot of owners and apparently still do today.
In detail, the following Elegance models just changed owners: a 25-metre 82 S built in 2000, a nearly 21-metre 64 built in 2009 with zero-speed stabilisers, a nearly 20-metre 64 Garage built in 2008, a 19-metre 60 Garage built in 2009, a 20.55-metre 64 built in 2007, a 20.20-metre 64 built in 2009 and an 18.60-metre 60 Garage built in 2007. The total value of the yachts sold is several million euros.
Albert Drettmann: "Customers seek us out primarily because they appreciate the outstandingly committed and competent advice we provide. At the same time, we are known for the fact that we continue to provide owners with intensive support after the purchase and that they can really contact us with any concerns. This is why many owners also entrust us with the pre-owned sale of their yachts, and the current sales series of Elegance yachts impressively underlines this."
Parallel to the sale of the seven Elegance yachts, Drettmann customers' interest in further yacht purchases remains high. "The demand is unhindered," says Claudia Drettmann. "Despite the rather tense situation for pre-owned yachts, we have nevertheless always found the right one for every buyer. We have, for example, other very interesting Elegance yachts for sale right now." Among others, Drettmann Yachts is currently listing a 40-metre Elegance 128, a 28-metre Elegance 92 Mega or a nearly 24-metre Elegance 78.
