About BLUE SWAN

The VALK CONTINENTAL 1800 Blue Swan, built in 2007 by Wim van der Valk Yachts in Waalwijk (NL), is an exceptionally well-constructed steel motor yacht, finished to a higher standard than many of her sisterships. Measuring 18.40 x 5.00 x 1.63 m and built to CE Category A, she offers outstanding seaworthiness and stability with a displacement of approximately 43 tonnes. Her dark blue hard-chine steel hull, steel/teak decks, thermopane windows and extended wheelhouse underline her solid build and timeless design. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D6-370 EVC diesel engines (2 x 370 hp), she is equipped with hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, Najad hydraulic stabilizers, enhanced sound insulation, an Algue fuel polishing system and two Mastervolt generators (12 and 6 kVA).

The interior is finished in luxurious teak with cream leather upholstery, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere throughout. The wheelhouse features an L-shaped settee, bar area with sink and wine cooler, two premium helm seats, an electrically operated sliding sunroof and a custom-designed dashboard. The spacious saloon offers another L-shaped seating area, 32" LCD TV with surround system, sideboard and a C-shaped dinette. The beautifully crafted galley is fitted with Corian countertops, a full-height fridge/freezer, ceramic cooktop, extractor fan, Bosch combination oven, Quooker boiling-water tap and Bosch dishwasher.
Forward lies the guest cabin with a queen-size berth, ample storage and a private shower room with washbasin. A separate day head is located nearby. The utility room includes a washbasin, Miele washer/dryer, storage for chargers and inverters, and access to the engine room. The spacious owner’s cabin aft features a king-size berth, dressing table with mirror and LCD TV, a lounge chair, generous wardrobes, and a private bathroom with separate toilet.

The technical installation is extensive, including 22 hp hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, Kabola central heating, air conditioning, Mastervolt battery chargers and inverter, automatic engine-room fire-extinguishing system, hydrophore water pressure system, hot water via Kabola, and a hydraulic system for both the Besenzoni gangway/tender crane and the folding mast.

On deck, Blue Swan offers numerous comfort and safety features: a Besenzoni hydraulic passerelle, large bathing platform with ladder, hot/cold deck shower, electric anchor windlass with chain, deckwash system, mosquito screens, central vacuum system, 8-person liferaft, covers, stainless steel guardrails and a hydraulic folding mast. Thanks to her robust construction, upgraded insulation, extensive options and the meticulous care of her owner, this yacht is presented in exceptionally good condition and is fully ready to cruise.
