KOGO is an impressive 71.7m (235.2ft) yacht constructed with an ice-classed steel hull and aluminium superstructure, adhering to Lloyd's classification and MCA compliance. Built by Alstom Leroux Naval in 2006, it showcases a collaboration of renowned designers, including Tim Heywood for the exterior, Terence Disdale Design for the interiors, and Burness Corlett Three Quays for the naval architecture. Such excellence led KOGO to be honored with the prestigious World Superyacht of the Year award in 2007.
The sun deck of KOGO offers an inviting ambiance, featuring a spacious jacuzzi at the front, accompanied by sun pads and glass screens for privacy. Towards the aft, guests can relish in al fresco dining, complemented by a bar and additional sun pads, all conveniently sheltered by sliding screens. The bridge deck saloon provides various social spaces, including a bar, gaming table, and lounge area. Sliding glass doors lead to a generous sun lounge, perfect for relaxation or entertainment, doubling as an outdoor cinema equipped with state-of-the-art Dolby surround sound.
On the main deck, KOGO boasts a versatile formal dining room with large picture windows, accommodating two tables of eight or one table of 16, allowing guests to appreciate the stunning views. Adjacent to the dining room is the main saloon, serving as a cutting-edge entertainment center with Dolby surround sound and an HD cinema screen. Descending to the lower deck, guests will discover an atmosphere of tranquility and balance, as described by Disdale, with clean modern lines and a Zen influence. This deck offers a well-equipped gym, steam room, shower room, and a massage room for ultimate relaxation.
The owner's suite on the main deck impresses with its generous space and luxurious amenities. Featuring a bedroom to starboard and a lounge-study area to port, it also includes his and hers walk-in wardrobes. The forward bathroom is equipped with his and hers wash and shower facilities, along with a shared bath. Accommodation on KOGO is versatile, providing two double cabins on the main deck and two additional double cabins and two twin cabins on the lower deck, allowing for a total of 14 guests to be comfortably attended to by up to 21 crew members.
KOGO is equipped with twin Caterpillar 3512B engines, powering two ABB Azipod drives (new in 2016), and a Brunvoll bowthruster, enabling dynamic positioning. With a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots, and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 11 knots, this vessel offers exceptional performance. Stability at anchor is ensured by four Quantum zero speed stabilizers, while a helideck provides access to remote locations.
